| i would argue that the new Interpol album is making stronger headway in the "indie record of the year." now maybe it's because matador is a much larger label than merge records, but there's definitely a lot of buzz being generated by the new Interpol album. On the flip side, maybe it's not indie because it's so popular. They also inspired Shepard Fairey to create a four-poster series of Interpol. That's kinda interesting for a relatively new band. Either way, I do have the Funeral album in my iTunes and it’s pretty damn catchy. I would also suggest that the three disc merge records compilation is a very good album to own. | ||

| Peter, I most definitely have to agree with you on the packaging on that album. It is sick! I have a Wax Poetics magazine that Ehquestionmark did the cover for and it is also fantastic. Chock full of gold foil, or whatever that process is. | ||

| shit. is that still in print? speaking of ehquestionmark and ghetto pop life, it seems lex has switched up the normal format that GPL was originally printed in and shoved it into a normal jewel case...tis a shame. really is. | ||

| Nah man, that issue is out of stock, as a matter of fact I think that all of Wax Poetics' back stock is gone. I too noticed the format change. It's probably a money thing because the packaging on that has to be pretty expensive to produce. | ||

| lord knows thats true. i just pre-ordered the new ISIS album with a different album cover than the larger commercial release (one of 100). coloured vinyl is particularly big in the indie rock world. even more so in the hardcore world. but with the lex stuff, i dont ever remember seeing anything with 'limited edition packaging' on it...so thats what really confuses me. c'est la vie... | ||
